how long does everyone wait before tracking a deer they shot with a bow??? if it's a good shot i like to wait about 45 mins or so....if its bad it depends on the shot how long i wait.... just wanting to know everyone's opinions....

About 1 hr if I didn't see it fall. On a bad shot 4 hours or so.

A couple of hours for me, maybe more if I thought the shot placement wasn't good.

If its a good shot their dead before you can get out of your tree,Bad shot the longer the better. In my opinion if you dont find your bow shot deer within 100 yds or less your odds of finding that animal go way way down twocents

I'll wait until they quit kicking.

That is why people use white, chart or pink wraps on their arrows. It makes it easier to see the arrows impact point. Unless you see or hear the deer crash , the place the arrow hit should dictate how long you wait.Other wise you can push a wounded deer off your property or until its where you'll never find it.I'd say you are doing the best thing Bow84. laugh
