Good info! Hopefully I won’t need it but thankfully I know a person or two on this end of the state if I do.

Ok so now that makes sense. I was wondering why some pharmacies were not filling the Rx. I saw where an internal medicine doc was being called out by some pharmacies who refused to fill her hydroxy Rx's because she wasn't a rheumatologist. It made it seem like they were not filling it because it was being prescribed for COVID and not an autoimmune disease. Maybe the reason was indeed because of the risk of having to pay back the insurance company. Either way, it seems to me that the pharmacy should not be making that call. If the doc is Rxing the medicine, fill it unless it will have and adverse interaction with another drug or some other bona fide reason not to fill. If so, (which I know you have done countless times) confer with the prescriber and come up with an alternative medicine. Pharmacies should not refuse to fill Rx because they are following the narrative and disagree with why the doctor prescribed it.
I like your take and thank you!

Dr. B I agree completely. Insurance companies dictate way too much.
