Risk will be exactly the same to the players in the spring (actually probably substantially higher due to the colder weather) as it is currently but, they will play in the spring, regardless of the Covid. I'm convinced just about everything going on right now (case spikes, incorrect Covid case reporting, incorrect Covid death reporting, putting Covid patients into nursing homes, travel bans between states, media frenzy, riots, protests, BLM and antifa uprisings, defund the police, and lastly, screwing with the entertainment of college football ........ is 100% directly related to the upcoming November election.

If I was the SEC, and every other conference decided not to play ball, I would double down and have a season. I then would triple down on the recruiting trail and tell the recruits about how the SEC actually cares about football. These players in college and high school want to play ball.. ain't one of them truly worried about this virus. I guarantee you most of them have been out at clubs chasing tail (without a face mask) most of the time already.

I see the kids around Scottsboro and they don't seem the least bit worried about the chinavirus.

Well said. I asked someone last year "Why do we keep glorifying folks we wouldn't let our daughters date?". We loved to watch guys like Rueben Foster obliterate folks on kickoff coverage, then act disappointed when he turns out to get in legal trouble for violent acts. Hes' consistent, we're not.

Look at it this way. They have not been able to practice like they should, and if they played a real game it would be sloppy, high schoolish at best, and there would be a lot of injuries from lack of conditioning. The games would suck with no fans in the stands and no tailgating parties or anything else.
