The problems not buying the guns. The problem is that feeling youre having right now, that "should I do it" feeling. Figure out how to bypass or eliminate that dirty "should I do it" feeling and you can get on with that "yippy, I just got a new gun" feeling. Man, I love that feeling.

I wonder how fast you could get a lightweight one running near max load? Could be a fine long range deer stomper. Hydrostatic shock is no joke - anything over about 2600 fps at impact does a heck of a number on light to medium living things. Not as good for bears/lions/buffs.

Holy snot. Mule deer on 24 hour campfire was running some 160 tsx to 3400+. That's cooking and booking for a big chunk of metal.

I run a 225 gr Accubond at 2860 FPS in my 338 win mag. Very accurate, 1/2 MOA and that bullet has a .550 BC. This load is good for any deer or antelope in the world.

Load it with a 250 gr partition and you have plenty of gun for any critter that can fight back on this continent and all but the biggest critters on the dark continent.

Other than a 375 H & H magnum, there is not a more versatile or capable cartridge in the world.

So how does it shoot? Poor BCLC and me have the same problem. We were built on a small frame. We just can’t handle these big ole guns!
