[quote=mike35549]Why not just put a mask on for one minute while you are ordering? Then take it off when you get to your table. I am just curious as to the reasoning. I was just curious why folks was so hell bent on not wearing one. I do have a question if you were going to visit a family member that had let’s say diabetes would you wear a mask for the visit. I am diabetic, wear a mask if required by job, only get take out, try to social distance.Just got back from my mom's, she is 85 and bed ridden. I did not wear a mask, that's the way its been since this started. Every day there is a sitter that comes, 3 x a week a bather visits, visiting nurses come by, children, inlaws, grandkids, great grandkids, brothers, sisters, etc etc. Yes, we take some precaution by washing hands, cleaning a little extra, and some wear mask. My point is we can't stop caring for her because we may be afraid, she does not want us to stay away. Don't be afraid to live today, you are not guaranteed tomorrow. Damn fine post. Same way with my mama....

Buncha bad ass anti maskers on here. I wear one because of my cancer and my low resistance to crap, but my say so isn't going to change the anti maskers on here.
I wear one when I can not keep a fair amount of distance with someone. I would hate to find out I had the virus and had been around someone and didn’t do all I could to prevent it and they became sick and died. Would be tough for me to live with. For some folks it seems it wouldn’t bother them to much. That is why I wear one on occasion, does it help I don’t know but it won’t hurt. Are you going to wear one the rest of your life? There are always going to be viruses that can be spread to others and harm them like flu and many others. You didnt wear a mask last flu season. Whats so different now? No matter what numbers you look at this is more deadly than the flu and probably more contagious. Also my wife has medical conditions that make her more susceptible to having a bad outcome should she contract the virus.

Do only wuhan virus deaths cause guilt to those who unknowingly spread it to others?

Same way killing someone in a car crash would even if you done everything to avoid the crash. Now if you were drunk and speeding I would guess the guilt would be much worse.

I aint got no f’ing virus to spread. Wear your damn mask if you feel the need. The mask aint gonna keep me from spreading, IF I HAD, a virus...which i dont. Give your liberties and leave mine the hell ALONE.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Anybody at risk should take proper precautions...anybody not worried if they live or die should live as they wish but keep distance from at risk people...ive been to a covid related funeral and i feel the same now as before

Guess some folk is smarter than the sturgan generals. Just mask up if it’s required then take it off where it isn’t. It’s not a big deal. It’s being courteous to others who are at risk even if you think it’s dumb like I do. Some of y’all need to go back to manners class.

if you are at risk then wear one, if you are sick stay home or wear one. if you wear one you are protecting yourself and others

Why not just put a mask on for one minute while you are ordering? Then take it off when you get to your table. I am just curious as to the reasoning. Because I don't want to help foster the notion that this is the deadly, killer virus the media and government says it is and that mask are out only hope of defeating the virus. Is that a good enough reason? As long as we're playing the "why not just do what they ask", game , why not just take the word of the government health gurus that swear hydrocloroquine is deadly and doesn't help against covid-19? I mean, why not just go along to get along? I was just curious why folks was so hell bent on not wearing one. I do have a question if you were going to visit a family member that had let’s say diabetes would you wear a mask for the visit. I come home to my wife every day and she is diabetic. My mother is also diabetic. I see her every chance I get. I'm forced to wear a mask at work but don't wear one anywhere I don't have to. If I felt like I was going to bet sick just by being somewhere in a public place I'd have to live my life in a bubble. I keep my distance from people if I can, I wash my hands. I cough or sneeze in my elbow as I have for 20 years. Don't be an idiot and things will be fine

We’re you always sickly and did you mask up before all of the sky is falling media hype? Maybe you should get a plastic bubble to live in because there’s germs out there in the world. He has cancer and a weakened imune system. He should take every precaution possible as would any of us with that kind of battle going on.
