I don’t know the proper etiquette but is there anyone in the Bham,Tuscaloosa area that either wants to put a bee hive out in the area or anyone who could possibly help me get started with them.

You'll find some good folks in the local beekeepers associations. If you are willing to spend the time and effort, beekeeping is an amazingly rewarding hobby. And I'm not talking about that liquid gold either. Best of luck!

Liquid Gold! I wish that was true. Have been beekeeping for years and enjoy it, well all but working them in a bee suit/jacket once the temps are over 85 degrees. You know how to make a small fortune beekeeping? Start with a large fortune! smile

Honey should cost $50 per quart.

True That!
30 years I didn't see any small hive beetles in my bees.
Nowdays if you don't stay on top of them, you'll loose a hive quick.
And if you're buying bees, they are expensive.

Goodness! Might need to load the trailer and head north. Here about the best we can do is 5 bucks a pounds and $15.00 for a quart.
