I wanted to get back with you guys and give you my opinion of the Cell-Link after a few weeks worth of use.

The way it works is you have a sd card with a cord attached to it that connects to the modem. I ran the modem across the interior face of the camera and then out the side by the bottom hinge. I then routed it behind the camera and up to the modem. Running it behind the camera prevents it from being seen or touched. I am sure a squirrel on a mission could mess it up, but we shall see in time.

1. Quality of pictures - this is based on your camera. I have the $29 Tasco from Walmart. There is no change in the quality of pictures and they are very consistent in taking pics. So far, i cannot see that I have had any interruption between the camera and modem.

2. Trigger speed/Save time - I have seen no deterioration in trigger speed or delay due to saving pictures.

3. Cell Service - I bought the Verizon camera, as it seems to be the best where we are. So far, I have averaged between 2-4 bars of service on the camera.

4. Picture Transmissions - I have had no issues in transmitting pictures to my cell via the app.

5. Batteries - The only downside i can see with this is you have to purchase batteries for the camera and modem, however, if it works the way i think, they should both last longer than a stand alone cell camera since each has its own power source. This remains to be seen. I have had this camera out for 2 weeks and the batteries in the modem still show 98%.

5. Overall quality - other than having to upload new firmware as soon as i received it, i have had no issues with it connecting to the network or other issues that would effect performance. I can text pictures to anyone that wants them, but for a purchase price of $59 I am impressed.

I am still torn on buying this vs the new tactacam. I am about to buy it and give it a try to see how it compares.

It is what it is.

Inspect what you Expect.

If the modem is anything like the Spypoint cameras, it will go from showing you it has full or close to full battery to just dead one day. There isn't really any in between. I've had good luck with the energizer lithiums and make sure you set your picture delay according to what you are setting the camera up over - longer delay if over corn, etc.

I bought one of the cell links to try and for the money I'd rather have my link micros. I've caught them on sale for $99 and have added the hme solar panel battery pack to them. No more battery issues.

Lithium batteries go from full charge to zero charge. Really no in between for them. Spypoint will show the percentage on regular batteries but they don't last near as long.

Those flat battery solar packs are the best thing I've found so far. Little over $50 bucks each. You can eat up $50 in lithium batteries fast
