Ranger currently has the OE Carlisle tires and both front and one rear tire have a slow leak. Tried finding leaks with soapy water and no luck. Carlisle tires are 4 ply and Bighorn is a 6 ply tire. I keep Ranger at the club and the tires are flat every time I go down there. PITA to inflate tires every time even if they have plenty of tread life left on them. I have thought about sliming them but I've heard that will ruin the wheels. Dying ain't much of a living boy...Josey Wales Molon Labe

I slimed a set of swamp lites on aluminum rims at around year 5 of the 10 I had them. at year 10 I got a new set put on and I had a leak I couldn't find on one. my tire guy said that the slime ate a hole in the aluminum rim...holes, actually. not sure how it affects steel rims, but it took a while on the aluminum.
