If you like them spicy, find you some Slap Ya Momma seasoning from Louisiana and add to boil. Be careful not to overcook shrimp. Smithing worse than rubber shrimp.

Couple of onions peeled and quartered
Half a jar of minced garlic
Whatever crab boil seasoning you prefer (I use a little liquid, a little powder and the bag)
I throw all the above in pot along with the potatoes, sausage and corn and boil for 15 minutes. Throw the shrimp in, shut the fire off and shock the pot with the water hose for about 30 seconds. Let soak for 10-15 and then check them. Soak longer if needed.

Pro Tip. Boil everything you are boiling and make sure that includes a ton on conecha sausage. Once everything is boiled kill the heat. Then add the shrimps. Let them soak for five minutes or so. Check them every so often for done ness. Most folk over cook the shrimps. Enjoy!

Pro Tip. Dipping sauce for the shrimps for extra zip. Run dukes in a large bowl and add the Louisiana brand crawfish boil seasoning in the creamy mayo. Make a lot cause folks live it. Enjoy!

I've used this to cook for 40+ men twice. Obviously, you'll need to increase the Ingredients proportionately for your crowd size.

Cook Time 45 minutes
Resting Time 10 minutes
Total Time 55 minutes
Servings 6

Ingredients
• 5 quarts water & 12 ounces beer
• 1 box Shrimp Boil seasoning (3 ounces)
• 2 tablespoons kosher salt plus more as needed
• 2 heads garlic
• 2 lemons plus more for serving
• 1 pound red potatoes quartered
• 2 large sweet onions cut into wedges
• 2 pounds smoked sausage cut into 2-inch pieces
• 4 ears corn on the cob cut in half
• 3 pounds raw shrimp frozen or fresh
• 1/2 cup salted butter melted

Instructions
1. Add water, beer, shrimp boil seasoning and salt to a large Dutch oven (8-12qt) or boiling pot set over high heat. Slices the tops off of each head of garlic and add them to the pot. Cut each lemon in half and squeeze in the juice, then add the halves to the pot. Bring everything to a boil.
2. When boiling, add the potatoes and onions to the pot, cover, and cook 8-10 minutes, until they just begin to feel tender.
3. Add the sausage to the pot, cover, and cook 5 minutes.
4. Add the corn halves to the pot, cover, and cook 6-7 minutes.
5. Lower the heat to medium-low and add the shrimp. Cover and cook 2 minutes, then turn off the heat. Let sit for 10 minutes as the heat comes down, allowing the contents to absorb the flavors.
6. Remove 1 cup of the broth from the pot, then drain the rest of the liquid out. Remove the garlic bulbs and place each one in two small bowls. Use a fork to smash the garlic, then add 1/2 cup of broth and half of the melted butter to each bowl. Stir well.
7. Transfer the contents of the pot to a large serving platter, or spread it out on a newspaper-lined table. Serve with the garlic butter and additional lemon wedges.
o remember when making a shrimp boil is, while it’s a supremely easy recipe, it takes patience and timing to get everything cooked to perfection. Potatoes and shrimp will not cook in the same amount of time, so a watchful eye on your pot is necessary.

• The first step is to bring the water, beer, lemons, garlic, and seasonings (I like old bay shrimp boil) to a boil over high heat. In a large stockpot with a lot of water, this could take up to 15 minutes. When that’s boiling, add the potatoes and onions – they need the most cook time and will benefit from all that flavor infusion. Let those boil until the potatoes begin to feel tender when poked with a fork, about 10 minutes, then add the smoked sausage.
• Boil the sausage with everything for 5-8 minutes and resist the urge to steal one from the pot. Cut fresh ears of corn in half (or use frozen cobs if you’re so inclined) and add them to the pot, boiling them for another 7 minutes or so.
• At this point, test to make sure everything is almost ready to go. Poke the potatoes and look for doneness. Make sure the corn is cooked.
• If all is well, turn down the heat add the shrimp. Cover the pot, let it all cook for about 2 minutes, then remove the pot from the heat and let it sit undisturbed for 10 minutes. The shrimp will continue to cook in the residual heat of the broth, and the flavors will infuse.

Thanks for all the tips and advice. This turned out great today. We probably had 30 folks. Took lots longer than expected to get water to boil. We used conecuh, onions, lemons, potatoes, corn and shrimp. The corn was still partially frozen and that caused the boil to cool. We brought it back up to temp. The shrimp literally took like 3-4 minutes. It was delicious! Tons of compliments.

Get you a few heads of cabbage next time as well. Core and quarter. It will soak in the spices.

Yep either one is good! Will say this though, i done a croc pot boil last year, and it turned out great BUT, i used frozen (already cooked) sprouts, and that was a no no! They turned to mush, nxt time I'll use fresh/raw sprouts instead.......
