I almost went to check it out glad I decided to stay home and do the yearly service on our 3 four wheelers instead. Image the news coverage if it was a white redneck leaving the gunshow and getting into a shoot out on the Blvd, it would be in the national headlines. Went there Sunday and the people were talking about it. Also had 2 or 3 guns stolen from the show Saturday and someone tried to steal Sunday morning.

Thats what i was told, they were also watching people take stuff out to their cars and come back in, then breaking into the cars. The one booth Sunday morning that had a guy try to steal one was the booth selling the magnetic holders and fire starters. The vendor i went to see wasn't there because at the last show she had stuff stolen and wont be back to Montgomery.

Dang, the wife and I were there, but left before all that excitement. I went looking for ammo, and what they had they were proud of, went down the road to Walter Craig, found what I was looking for at about half what they wanted at the gun show. we were surprised at a lot of the patrons at the show also.

I fully understand where some of you are coming from, but how are you going to effectively refuse to sell a firearm to a legal buyer regardless of how "thuggish" they look? Or act? Seems like you'd have a complaint filed against you in a heartbeat.

I had a buddy (God rest his soul) that used to do gun shows. He said Montgomery was the worst. He eventually stopped going because twice he was in pursuit of someone who had taken a firearm off his table and got security or a police officer in the building and they wouldn't go after the suspect and they advised him not to either. I'm in no way talking bad about the officers and he wasn't either because they were just following orders. Apparently the mayor or someone down there is just ok with lawlessness.
