Heck yeah! Only white land owning males over the age of 21 should be able to buy AR’s and AK’s. That is a great idea. AND only people who pay net federal income taxes each year should be allowed to vote. After the Civil War is over I will make sure that is put into the New Constitution for the Christian Constitutional States of America. Funny how so many don't care about the constitutional rights of people who don't look or think like them, isn't it?

I fully understand where some of you are coming from, but how are you going to effectively refuse to sell a firearm to a legal buyer regardless of how "thuggish" they look? Or act? Seems like you'd have a complaint filed against you in a heartbeat. A private gun seller can legally sell or refuse to sell firearms to whoever they want to. And they would be crazy to not do a background check on anyone they did choose to sell to.

I've read a lot of your posts and they're usually well thought out and very informative. I think if you take a step back you'll agree that doekiller's last post wasn't necessarily a liberal leaning one. In fact I think it's uniquely a conservative idea that all people, no matter of race, creed, color, ideas, etc have the right to bear arms be protected to the death. If we ever give any inclination otherwise then we just become the racist democrats and hypocrites. The Democratic party and liberal progressives are the hypocrites when it comes to the two party political system. I would like to keep it that way.

I think if you take a step back you'll agree that doekiller's last post wasn't necessarily a liberal leaning one. In fact I think it's uniquely a conservative idea that all people, no matter of race, creed, color, ideas, etc have the right to bear arms be protected to the death. If we ever give any inclination otherwise then we just become the racist democrats and hypocrites. The Democratic party and liberal progressives are the hypocrites when it comes to the two party political system. I would like to keep it that way. Thank you. I didn't think it was liberal leaning at all. I thought it was the liberals who think that only people who think like them should have rights. We can't determine anyone's intention based on their appearance. You either believe in the bill of rights or you don't. This is the same slippery slope as the red flag laws or mental capacity. It sounds good on the outside but who's going to make the determination and what agenda will they be serving?

And they would be crazy to not do a background check on anyone they did choose to sell to. Yes. I had in mind the sellers at a gun show who have a business license and maybe a storefront to boot plus a FFL. If, just to "what if", I had an AR-15 for sale and somehow a "citizen" were to approach me as a private seller who climbed out of a pimped out Caddie smelling like Snoop Dog with rap chit blaring, I'd say sorry, it just sold, but I can't imagine being in that scenario to begin with.

You make an incorrect assumption about ALL gun owners being irresponsible. Perhaps you are, but I am not. Hopefully you secure any gun you own at all times that it is not in your control. Yes there are irresponsible people that abuse the 1st amendment, the 2nd amendment, etc. That doesn't make all of us idiots. Some of us are responsible citizens.
