Sorry I don't have a picture, but that would just be cruel. The perfect omelet contains 4 eggs and 1oz of buttermilk. Despite anything else you add, you must begin with 4 eggs and 1oz of buttermilk. The older the buttermilk, the better. I like to add a handful of diced ham, one diced San Marzano tomato, two chopped jalapeño peppers and pepperjack cheese. It really doesn't matter what cheese you use (as long as it's pepper jack). Add a large dollop of pure unsalted butter to an iron skillet for proper accent and non-stickyness. You're well on your way to omelet utopia! 👌

Pro Tip - Add a huge dollop of mayonaise to add some extra zip to it!

The mayonnaise or sour cream is an adequate substitute for the buttermilk. Just make sure that it's well past the expiration date. It doesn't get good until it passes the expiration.

Didn't think you could make an omelet They are usually ugly. But still taste good. Comes out looking more like a scrambled bowl.
