So, if a person is hospitalized with Covid 19, is said patient tested daily to see if they still have it?
Also, what's the latest nationwide count of Covid 19 hospitalizations?
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

April 10, daily, About 150k test,35k cases, 57k hospitalized, 2k deaths... Of those tested that equals 23% positive, 38% hospitalized, 1.3% death rate
July 1, daily, about 650k tested, 50k positive, 45k hospitalized, 1k deaths... of those tested that equals about 7% positive, just under 7% hospitalized, 0.1% death rate

Edit: A thought that came to me while I was feeding the pets:
The numbers say roughly 1/25 HAVE died from it. It's not a predictive statistic; it's a result based on the current numbers.
1/25 would be 4% nationwide.
I get 3.67% when I divide the overall number of confirmed fatalities by the number of confirmed cases.
What am I missing? What numbers are you disputing.
The map is from a different website and was showing daily trends from 1 April - to 21 July, with a superimposed 7-day average, with the numbers at the top of each graph being the numbers for today (since somebody asked for the current hospitalization numbers).

July 21... cases= 62,749 deaths=1,029
1029/62749= 1.6%

The shoals insider reports daily on 105.5 and he keeps stating the fully recovered rate is 87%. So is there 10% that have lifetime conditions they never fully recover from C19 considering 3% or so die?
That is the only place I hear this but he refers to the state health department numbers and say they want him to remind people of that stat

1029/62749= 1.6% Right, it's just simple math that's why I'm confused. The website has cumulative cases and cumulative fatalities going back to sometime in March that comes out to CFR = 3.67% The numbers are heavily skewed by NY and NJ that have CFR's of >6% and >8%, respectively. Alabama's CFR has been 2% +/- a few tenths of a percent for the majority of the time, I believe.

If the only people exposed are the elderly, your death rate will go up. Also, as testing increases, so will positives. If the deadliness stays the same, but positives go up, the death rate goes down

Speaking of nursing homes and covid, my grandfather in law has been in a nursing home since fall. He has been isolated from everyone. No way the check in on him. To make a long story short, he tested positive for cv19 Wednesday and we didn't find out till Saturday. He is at st Vincent east now and the dr basically said he probably won't make it through the week... Here is the kicker. The dr wanted to send him home with my 65 yo mother in law! She pitched a fit and refused ...

That's a hard spot to be put in and would be hard to say no

My daughter tested positive last week and we had been to visit with her to see our grandbaby the weekend prior to her testing positive. We had our test today which was 7 days since we were with her and we both tested negative. We are pretty sure her husband and 8 month old baby have it now but they have not been tested yet. They were both running a fever and had pink eye and diarrhea today. I am really worried about the little fellow. My daughter was rushed to hospital in ambulance on Friday but we chalked it up to a panic anxiety attack after she tested positive. She is young and healthy and at home doing much better now but hates not being able to see her baby for 14 days.

The shoals insider reports daily on 105.5 and he keeps stating the fully recovered rate is 87%. So is there 10% that have lifetime conditions they never fully recover from C19 considering 3% or so die? The CFR in Florida today is <1.5%. CFR = Case Fatality Rate IFR = Infection Fatality Rate (this is the number of importance) CFR is ONLY people that have tested positive IFR is people that have tested positive + untested positive people The numbers that I have seen for untested positive people have determined that this number is 11-80 times higher than the number of people that have tested positive. We also know that ~80% of the cases are Asymptomatic (4x the number of tested people) SO.................................... Take the CFR and divide by 5 or 81 and the IFR should be between those 2 numbers. I know that is a STUPID range, but it will vary by area. For reference: The IFR for the seasonal flu is ~0.07-0.13%. IFR varies with age, comorbidities, healthcare, etc. It is a combination, not just one of those factors. For example Africa........................... High or low? Africa has horrible healthcare, but sickly people in Africa don't live very long. Their population is relatively young, and free of severe comorbidities. The Covid IFR in Africa will most likely be lower than in America.
