After you pull them is there anything you can do to make them last longer? I've got more than we will use in the next month.

Well, I have really good days" Ray Wylie Hubbard

Take some hay string and tie to each one and hang them up in a shady spot to let them dry. Let them hang til the stems are brown and crunchy. Once they’re dry store them in a cool dry place.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

You have to them dry or they will not keep. I generally spread mine in the shade outside so they are not touching. Do not wash them!!! After drying, I put them in a container where the can breathe ( I use a plastic tub that is a very large weave for better air) and store in a cool dry place. I also put some in the refrigerator cause I like to eat fresh onions. Been doing this for years. If you don’t allow them to dry properly, they will get hot mushy spots and not store well at all.

Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.

Once dry, you can use pantyhose to tie them in we start at the toe and just tie a knot above the onion and keep adding. Then, when you want an onion, just cut below the bottom knot
