It's been a while fellers. I've been doing some travelling for the company and it's kind of a booger travelling sometimes in this made up pandemic finding places to eat. I'll be damned if I'm paying restaurant prices and I have to take the food to go in a Styrofoam container. They can just kiss my ass. So anyway on to the food pics.... This is me and my, cabin building, motorcycle riding, Jeepin', fishin', drankin', best friend with benefits and me enjoying some fried oysters over at Boudreaux's Cajun grill. We topped it off with blackened redfish and Skrimps and Grits. The next night some friends invited us to their house over on the Dog River for steamed shrimp and crawdads, but I didn't get any pics. They did tell us to stay at their Dauphin Island house for a couple of days before we headed back to the cabin. It made for a nice office for me to catch up on a couple of things. The only place that we could find that was open and didn't have an hour wait was the pizza joint over at the chitty golf course on the island. I think the place is called Pirates. The pizza was pretty damn good though... On the way back home we stopped at the Shack in Evergreen and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. It look like I will be stopping by there regularly since it looks like I may be the new Civil Engineering Lead at one of our plants down in Mobile. My girlfriend had the burger and sweet tater fries... And I had the brisket with greens and cheese grits...

Once we made it back to God's country up here on the mountain, we got invited over to our next door neighbor's house for some beef kebabs and Terry and Debbie did them up right. I think after cigars, lots of scotch and conversation I don't think we left until after midnight. I made homemade ice cream with fresh peaches, but forgot to take a pic of that. Mrs. Irish decided since we'd been travelling all week we deserved some homemade blueberry pancakes for breakfast... I can't remember how many I ate, but I had to go check the soil bearing capacity on the foundation to see if it was overloaded. Yes my friends, that is real butter and real maple syrup. (No oppressed black woman on the label either.) Did I tell you about eating crawdads on the boat dock of our friend's house? Well needless to say she way over bought crawdads so we had a bunch left. Gina was gong to toss them in the river for the crabs, but she offered for us to take them home with us, so I threw them in the cooler and the next day pealed them all at one time and got all the tails. After wondering what to do with them I came up with this idea of a creamy, one pot Cajun pasta... Did I mention that Mrs. Irish really knows how to make a chef's salad for lunch? I had to run over to Cartersville, GA. for work Tuesday and there's lots of great places to eat in the downtown square, but that day I had a hankerin' for a Calzone and I was not disappointed. I think the name of the place is Leopoldo's. I ate the whole damn thing and almost fell asleep on the way home. Damn Italian food...

Good grief everything in these pictures looks good. I wish I could claim credit for all of it, but it was all damn fine eating that's for sure.
