Smoked a meatloaf on a grill/smoker? was thinking about trying it and looking fer a simple recipe..

I have. In a cast iron loaf pan. It was good. Maybe a little better than in the oven. Already had it made up in the pan to put in the oven. Storm came through and power went out. Went out and looked and knew it would he hours before it came back on. Just fired up the smoker and put it on. Smoked with hickory if I remember right. Remember thinking apple would have been better. Just happen to remember cooking one in foil on a fire once and it was really good. Poked a hole in the foil a few minutes before we took it off to let the grease drain off. Don't think I have ever used a recipe...just throw what I like in it.
