My friend at work killed this tom in Mobile County. The tom sported 8 good beards this tom will surely make the Alabama record books not the best picture to see the beards. http://s1159.photobucket.com/albums/p621/EDIO43/?action=view&current=IMG_1331.jpg

Congrats to your buddy. Jugheads bird just dropped down a spot on the Alabama records list. Lol

That will just be the first one. Something will happen in the turkey population and multi-bearded birds will become more prevalent than single bearded birds and in a couple of years my bird won't even make the list anymore. grin

Not to take anything away from ya'lls birds, but you have to remember that there are thousands of multibearded birds killed each year. Only a small percent are posted here and on the nwtf site for the world to see.

One and it was a Jake. I've called multibearded birds in for others but I just don't think it was meant for me to kill one.....ever.

Im only poking, I have known several people to kill jakes with three or for beards.

I think its just common for some areas. I have never seen one or killed one in any area I have hunted.

they are out there but after 20 yrs of turkey hunting I haven't seen or killed one yet. I think they are more prevalent in some areas than others though. I only know of one multi bearded bird that has been killed on our place and it was about 15 years ago.

Oh yeah. That is like a 180" deer in Alabama. Not but a handful that big killed in the state every year.

I dont give a crap about a 180 inch deer in Alabama. I would let one walk if I could kill one of those birds.

Same here, a deer doesn't even get me excited anymore unless it is with a bow

We used to hunt a place where double beards were very common, prolly 25% of the birds we killed there were double bearded. Also hunted a place just outside Eutaw that ran to prolly 50% multiple beards, most I killed there was five.

My dad has hunted turkey for nearly 40 years and never killed one and I've killed 2 in the past 2 seasons, says I'm one lucky hunter. I've never seen one in Bama but see several in Tennessee

I killed a nice double beard turkey on a Pike Co lease I was in south of Troy. He had like a 10" main beard and the second was over 8". It's the only one I have ever killed or seen in person.
