You could try greasing the legs. Eh, they'd still find a way.
Tried it, they still climbed and got to the spinner. Only thing I've found that keeps em from spinning the plate is a varmint cage that surrounds the whole controller/spinner.

Nope - it won’t stop them.
You might try making some large diameter baffles for the legs.

Will PVC over a corn feeder legs prevent coons from climbing it? Or is that wishful thinking? No

use 3-4" pvc about 18-24" long. has to be big enough that they can't get a grip, Suspend it from the top of each leg (4-8") by chain, rope, etc. It will spin and flip when they try to get a grasp on it and climb. We have been using them like this for 2-3 years and have not gotten a pic of a coon on the feeder since.

I built cages for my feeder motors out of 1 inch mesh wire from Tractor Supply. They are working great and I have a lot of frustrated coons. Chicken wire is not stiff enough. I tried the PVC thing and it didn't work.

I tried the PVC thing and it didn't work. Did the same thing, tried dog wire first and they just tore it up. Then went with the 1” mesh.

I use a boss buck spinner with the eliminator spinner. Its an expensive setup but worth it in my opinion. That and the solar panel and the 12v Duracel battery have lasted for 3 years so far.
No problem with coons.
