Do NOT get a front-loading High Energy eco-green washer. They suck.

Pretty sure Maytag and whirlpool are made by the same people.

This

GE is owned by the Chinese

We have the LG brand washer and dryer South Korea owned going on 5 years now no problems 10 year warranty. Son and his wife bought Whirlpool about 2 months before we bought ours and they have had to replace both. Both houses two adults no kids so roughly the same amount of use. Other than that I know nothing.

Just bought a speed queen washer and dryer. Pricey, but I’m hoping I don’t have to buy another for a long time and my clothes are clean.

I knew Speedqueen would be the #1 answer when I saw the thread title. Pay more now or buy again in 3 to 5 years.

Speed Queen. We just bought a new front loading washer and dryer. Paid big but got a 10 year warranty.

Ive had GE for over 14 years. I've had to replace the motor (wife likes to overload the hell out of it) in the washer and the felt seal on the dryer. Other than that, been pretty reliable, even after surviving 6 military moves.

We bought a pair of LG, top-load washer and dryer 5 years ago that was recommended by Consumer Reports. They've been flawless, thus far.

I'm on about year 10 with a pair of LG's at home with zero issues.

I started buying Speed Queens for work (they get used non-stop) and have great results with them so far! Previously I'd buy the $4-500 ones as we burned them out quickly. With the Speed Queens I haven't burned one out yet! I used to get about 6 months to a year out of a cheap one, but the speed queens are on year 3 now and still chugging along!

I have about come to the conclusion to buy the cheapest you can get by with and when it starts giving trouble just throw it away and buy another. Seems like everything now is disposable. Can by a new one cheaper than repairing the old one.

All of them these days are junk. To many plastic parts and most are made overseas.
