DISABLED Google and Chrome on my Android last week. Using Brave/ DuckDuck Go.
I am able to get a new phone in July. Wont be an android, not sure if I will go back to iPhone. Thisk I will get something else and just keep my music on an old iphone.

Again what is the downside to knowing who has covid if they self report it so you can stay away from them? Be careful what you ask for, you just may get it. This app is a steep slope covered with grease... I get that, but if I can turn it on and off. Say I want to go to publix today and it shows 4 people with covid have been there this morning I would turn it off then wait til tomorrow and turn it back on and check again. That may not be the way it works but sure would be handy especially for high risk folks

How does the phone know who has or has not tested positive?? it's all voluntary (at least at this point). It automatically installed as part of recent updates, but it defaults to "Off". You have to turn it on and you have to manually put in if you've tested positive.

I've seen that but its not installed on your phone its a setting in Google. You still need a second app installed to use it and have to enable it
its a voluntary participation thing. Its really no different than all the location and histor trackers they already have that you can turn off.
