iam not saying iam a rebel just dont see a need to pay for a given right,
So its ok to bear arms only if we pay for a permit
Its also ok to protect yourself only if you buy a permit
I think its stupid, and iam sick of stupid,

You don't always have to fire it. Check my post history about my story st Avondale Park a few months back. I have had other similar stories too. My father has. Never fired, but didn't have to. Pointing the gun was enough. Bullets work.... but sometimes just holding at gunpoint is effective too. More than just saying "please don't stab me"

I respect how you feel and hope it never happens, but wait till your robbed. You'll change your mind. Ask me how I know.

If I am robbed I am just going to give them my stuff, all of it. I don't think pulling out a weapon to try to save my wallet or my car is a good idea. I have insurance so no loss for me. I do keep a loaded shotgun in the home just incase someone wants to break in while i am there, they usually get startled and a quick on the trigger.

So, not wishing for this to happen, but what guarantee do you have that’s all they want?? Three very angry tattooed gang members catch you and your wife and your daughter in a parking garage. Give us your wallet and those shopping bags. You do that. What if they want more? Some fun with the wife? You can watch. How far does it go? I would say you made a poor decision, but if you are happy, m’kay!!!

This pacifist attitude is why thug behavior is allowed to continue.

Even worse in today's world, they want your daughter and get her because you can't do anything to stop it. Human trafficking is real and teenage girls are the number 1 target.

As long as you are not carrying concealed or carrying a loaded pistol in your car, you should be fine. But if you do carry in those situations with no permit, you could be in a lot of trouble. Of course, carry a loaded pistol in your car and drive through Illinois or Massachusetts or some other states and get stopped, you in a heap o' trouble!

In Florida no permit required to carry in your car. Has to be a two step rule. Fastened in a holster, glovebox something like that.

Yep... The pacifist attitude is exactly why we are where we are today. It’s taught in the churches and at home. The live and let live attitude, but sometimes you just can’t do that and walk away because the thugs and crooks will not let you.

I never would have dreamed in my younger days that at my age now I'd put on a gun and wear it all day every day and not take it off until I go to bed. Then have it within reach. Not the retirement years I'd planned.

What you are seeing is the systemic emascualtion of the American male through our school systems etc. Whatever happened to righting the wrongs and NOT giving in?

I typically don't carry but a have one in my vehicle. With all the BS going on today I'm now carrying all the time. And in my 10 years here in Oregon I have pulled my weapon twice and I know for a fact that it would have been bad news for me had I not pulled the weapon but luckily I didn't have to use it

Because the definitions of what is right and wrong suddenly became indistinct. I could easily list half a dozen things that were absolutely "wrong" when I was a kid that are allowed, encouraged, and protected by the law today. And welcome to the forum.

That's EXACTLY why my main CC is a DB9. The thing is tiny and so light weight that it's easy to forget it's in your pocket. I do keep a larger double stack 9 in my truck and keep a few in my home, all with spare mags but the little 9 is easy and painless to carry therefore I'm rarely without it on me. Before I got it, I would find myself without one pretty often because it was a PITA to carry all of the time. If you are one of those guys I strongly urge you to consider a tiny CC. You can always carry something bigger when you feel like it or even carry them both. Sometimes I do just that.
