I'm pretty sure a Police taser can kill to. They don't sell Police tasers to the public for that reason. Even if it doesn’t kill the officer, he/she could become incapacitated by being tased, then the criminal can take their weapon. So, the way I see it the officer can not afford to become tased. TASERS are nonlethal force, but as pointed out, they make the person incapacitated and at the mercy of the bad guy in this case. That is the officer's defense. Of course, the other side will say that all the deceased wanted to do was run away. Unfortunately we don't have machines to read a dead man's mind so the officer will be offered up as a sacrificial lamb in this case. Jawbone you seem like the man that will know the answer to this question, those tasers are basically a single shot right? Once he fired it and missed isn't it pretty much just a piece of plastic?

I think the new model tasers have 2 shots in one cartridge. I'm pretty sure a Police taser can kill to. They don't sell Police tasers to the public for that reason. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, ANYONE wearing a badge today is either stupid or convinced they can’t make a living any other way and has nothing to lose. Or they're too close to retirement to quit now.

Tasers were single use devices when I was still working and they have to have another cartridge put in it before it can be used again. This info would appear to be bad news for the officer that fired his duty weapon on the deceased but do we know that he was aware of the first officer deploying his taser already?
This would be an interesting case to follow if the fix didn’t appear to already be in, not in the officer’s favor.
To answer some of y’all’s remarks. I would not go into LE right now, but if I was still in it, I would not quit either and abandon my fellow officers and let the criminals win without a fight.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

explain please .. from what i saw the officer who shot the man tried to use his taser but the subject fired the other officers taser making him stumble as you can see in the security camera footage. https://bluelivesmatter.blue/video-...s-firing-taser-at-cop-before-being-shot/Tasers were single use devices when I was still working and they have to have another cartridge put in it before it can be used again. Excellent point hoggin. If they try to prosecute the officer it will be hard to legitimately show beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew it was a taser and not a pistol the guy pointed at him.

This mob rules mentality isn’t going to end well. Police officers need our support now more than ever. Seeing how the chain of command is of a liberal mindset and will offer them up as a sacrificial lamb instead of having their backs until an investigation is over.
