Filled my last tag of the 2020 season in the upper peninsula of Michigan yesterday morning and we just crossed the Bama state line headed home. Sweet Home Alabama never looked better after 2 weeks in Yankee land! It's been an extremely tiresome season but it's been fun. Anytime you hunt 4 states and get to see double digits die it's fun!

I wouldn't have wanted to come home. I love that UP, it's an amazing place. I could park myself up there and never leave.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Skeeters as big as hummingbirds and they would cover anything not protected in seconds. I lit 2 thermacells and let them get hot before getting out of the truck, sprayed down my face and hands with bug mace and retreated all my clothes with premethrin just to survive up there! I did get to hear wolves howling yesterday morning, cool experience even though it was a little unnerving at the crack of daylight in those big woods!

You're gonna encounter those skeeters anywhere in the north. I think they actually thrive in the cooler climate. Some of the worst skeeters I ever seen was around the alpine lakes in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Montana and Idaho have an incredible amount of insects. You get used to it. Still beats living here, at the gates of hell.

I don't like the heat and humidity either but I'll take the South any day.

It’s just a few imported cheerleaders. They fine. But as a whole the north and Midwest has nothing to offer in the wimmens department

It’s just a few imported cheerleaders. They fine. But as a whole the north and Midwest has nothing to offer in the wimmens department I went to Minnesota about 20 yrs ago, went to a few local college hockey games and restaurants after the games and have never seen so many beautiful women. Put us down here to shame. I was shocked
