Saw a mouse running along back wall of shed. Setup 2 water bucket traps with peanut butter slathered on a rotating water bottle on each. Hope to see a few in morning.

Please elaborate a little on this trapping method. Do you just float a bottle in water with peanut butter smeared around the whole bottle?? Thanks thumbup

Here is the basic premise, but using a 2 liter bottle as the rotating cylinder.

Mine is very simple. Drill 2 holes on opposite side of bucket. I got piece of wire from old election sign. Got small piece of PVC pipe small enough to fit in bucket. Run wire through PVC and holes in bucket. Bend the ends of wire and make sure PVC spins easily. Put PB in middle and water in bottom.

Like above bucket 25% water , wire across ways going through bottle or pipe that spins freely , smear some PB as bait.

However nothing so far for me.

2nights no mouses in water. Apparently you have to be smarter than a mouse and that seems to be where the problem lies

I had some old chicken feed in the bottom of an old trash can that chipmunks and rats where getting into. Put about 5 inches of water in the bottom of it and got 7 the first day. Dumped the water out and put a little feed in it for a couple days then added water again and caught 5. Kept repeating the process. Caught less but still caught a few .
