Burning garbage in your burn pile is a no-no in certain counties now.

I had an EPA agent stop by and inform me burning garbage was illegal in the late 90s. He was talking about household waste, not yard debris or wood.

people burning trash in backyard burns are not the problem and should not be restricted. I burn mine every week and will continue to do so. Government overreach lives on...

I once worried somewhat about the annual burn ban that the State issues every summer until I passed by the local VFD and saw them burning a brush pile on the first day of the ban several years ago.

No problem. ADEM will be happy to issue a permit for money. They're always glad to allow pollution if you pay for the permit.

Several years ago a friend of mine was burning a big brushpile and had some plastic stuff in it but not a lot. The Chief of the local VFD came rolling down his driveway, took a look at what was burning and commenced to lecture the guy on how many different violations he could write him on. Friend told him to either get to writing or GTFO of his property. He left smile

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

So they're allowed to contract out and burn every last square inch of public forest land, but they don't want Joe regular burning limbs in his backyard?

Yea, that's gonna be a no from me dawg

Good thing that I live in Marshall co and not 2 miles down the road in Dekalb. I wouldn't want to pollute the air in Dekalb Co. By the way, id figure that Dekalb is less populated than Marshall so it doesn't have anything to do with highly populated areas. They just want to restrict burning and know dekalb co folks are more likely to have more people burning because of the country folks that live there and are not scared to light a big brush pile up.

I have a barrel, and I will burn when I want to. Windy dry days ain't one of them.

Just keep a pack of hotdogs nearby. They can't make you put out a cooking fire.
