I don’t have one yet, but I’ve done a lot of research. There are some good forums on them. If I was gonna but one today, I’d probably find a Yoder, Cookshack, Mak, or a Gridiron.

I think they sell Yoder at Watson Brothers in Auburn.

I was eyeballing they Yoder and or Rec Tec before I impulse bought the 1100 PitBoss. Like the looks of the doors and Internal room it appears to have.

It’s difficult to fit a whole Turkey on my 1100 even after removing the top shelf. Breast are easier to do though.

I have a Rec Tex, pit boss series 5 and 7, and big pappa smoker Mak 2. Out of those the pit boss and big pappa are about the best there is in pellet smokers

I looked at one at a pit boss at Walmart that the wife was trying to get me to buy - it was $757 I think? It had the clear doors on top and you could control it from a phone app. I told her that we didn't need anything quite that big. Is there another one made by any of them that are controlled that way for a better deal but a little smaller that you can control with an app. That's her deal btw, I like walking out and checking on it

They are electric ovens with smoke. They can turn out great food.

The ones with windows get terrible reviews.

Thank goodness I didn't spend that money then

My pit boss is awesome. It's not the blue tooth model. I hot one at lowes it was 1 size down from the biggest Walmart had. I about killed myself and the grill trtingvto unload it by myself. It weighs 250lbs I think I read. Easy to use, keeps consistent temp and makes good food.

I am very happy with my Green Mountain as well. It is built out of heavier gauge metal than most of the others I've seen and has the auto cleanout feature for the pellet burner portion of the grill.

Yeah I know right but it was spur of the moment and it was already assembled I thought it would be boxes. It rolled right out of the back of the truck and then flipped down a little grass hill but it seemed unfazed so I knew then it was a tough product.
