The fact that the ABC Store was closed at 515 on a Friday when the sign on the door said they’re open until 7........or the fact that the state of AL is in the retail alcohol sales business to begin with. I mean seriously, if the state wasn’t in the retail business and some politician proposed they get into it, they’d get laughed out of town. But since “that’s the way it’s always been”, nobody bats an eye....

Not really. The State of New Hampshire has ABC stores also, and most of them can be found in the rest areas on the Interstates. The booze is at LEAST 30% cheaper than anywhere else due to not having any taxes, and the parking lots are filled with out of staters. . Live free or die is the motto.

Tried to order from out of state and ship to the house. Nope. We have a backwards state where alcohol is concerned.

And don’t forget it is an “essential” business deemed by government during a pandemic. While millions were told that their line of work and businesses wasn’t.

It’s my understanding there are some really sweetheart deals for the lessors of the buildings they occupy and whatever politician is getting greased.

There could be some stores open 24/7 in the backwoods. If you could get the right contact though it probably wouldn't be Tennessee whiskey just saying..!😃

Or the fact that I walk in the store and get yelled at for not standing on the dot when I want to go look at the whiskey they have. I'm not a regular, in fact I've only been in that store twice since they built it 15 years ago. The beotch told me that she would have to go get it for me and I told her I don't know what I want until I look so i just left and made a note in case she ever needs a favor to tell her to "kiss my arse."

I've been to Pennsylvania 3-4 times and you can't buy beer in gas stations.you have to go to a warehouse they call it for beer, booze or stand in line at the bar to get beer to carry home.really strange going into a bar and people standing in line to buy a 6-pk to take home.supposedly old prohibition laws that's never been changed.

And just like that, i went into my buddy's store this evening, and he's recently received a big order of Blantons & a chit ton of Buffalo Trace!

I walked into two this weekend, one in Tennessee and one on Georgia. Neither gave a single chit if masked or not. No standing on dots. No BS. Browsed, bought what I wanted, bounced out.

I bought some Buffalo Trace after you and doekiller raving about it. Obviously we have very different tastes in liquor. That stuff is horrible.
