Mathews’ offerings for the last 6 or so years have definitely not been the lightest. I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot a VXR yet, but I have held them. Out of the box it’s one of the best balanced bows they’ve ever produced. Their plant’s been shut down the last 6 weeks or so and I’m hearing rumblings that due to this, they might not release a new bow in November because of the demand for the VXR’s.

I bought one this past season and it is by far the best bow that I have ever shot. I have always pretty confident with a bow but honestly, I don't feel I can miss with this one. It is so smooth and compact. I have not been able to find any negatives with it.
