Rough country sells a 2” and a 2.5” leveling lift kit. Any real difference in the two..... or than an 1/2” 😀

I liked the 2.5” better on my Chevy 1500 I had previously just because it seemed like a more aggressive stance. The 2” only almost looked like it was squatting and the 2.5” brings up your rear end just enough to make it actually look level.

Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks set on the highest setting. I have these on my Tundra and it's dead nuts level. Top setting is just shy of 2-3/8". Better ride than a puck also.

Ok so I ordered a 2.5 from procomp on my tundra and measured before I ordered it and was confident it would be within 1/16th level and got it back from the shop and dang it was clear as day 1.25 inches higher in the front. I added a 1.5 inch rear block to level it afterwards had more of a lift than I originally wanted but now I got them big ole tires and terrible MPG! The inches can be off, so it is best to look online of pics of the exact lift and truck your looking for, the Bilstein struts that WDE mentioned are the sure thing and the cost isn’t too bad.

So I’m not familiar with these Bilstein shocks y’all are mentioning. It seems like y’all are saying the shocks actually adjust and do the leveling for you

One might be for people in the 10th grade, where the other is for people in the 11th grade

Yes, Bilstein 5100 series front struts have adjustments that allow you to raise the ride height of your vehicle.
The problem - at least on a Chevy/GMC - is they only allow for 1.80ish inches which won't quite level the front with the back. it will be about 1/4" short

Cause it kills handling and fuel mileage.

I had a Tacoma with spring spacers and the one I have now has Bilstein 5100 , the Bilsteins are superior.

I heard through the industry that there was a few lawsuits that happened in the early 2000s that weekend truck users would overload utility trailers and the front end of the truck was raised so the visibility wasn’t as good, so the OE’s added rake to the rear end so that 3 percent of the time you have a trailer on it is level. The accidents where probably due to overloading but let lawyers get ahold of a case. Manufactures have to protect themselves by doing everything they can to prove that they did so when the lawyers take them to court the can say they tried. That is the legend in the Transportation Business.

There may be some truth to this.
