Almost $5.00 per pound on ground beef. $10.00 per pound on cheap bottom round roast that is usually around or less than $3.00 per lb. I get supply and demand and understand that the stores are having to pay a lot more for it, but at what point are customers not going to buy it? All this to say, how much does half of a processed cow cost, and where is the best place to purchase one around the Calera area.
