I own two M2s and just bought a Franchi 20 gauge for my new turkey gun. The Franchi looks very similar to the Benellis. Both my M2s are in 12 gauge. One is my duck hunting gun and the other is my old turkey gun. Honestly, for turkey hunting, you just don't pull the trigger that often. I've never used a customized trigger but I have always found the factory triggers to be adequate. I might take that money and spend it on optics. I bought a red dot sight for my Franchi and really like it.
I'm left handed like you and my right hand M2s are great shooters. You will be very pleased.

The triggers are good on all of mine.

The triggers are good enough to be on a shotgun. I have 3, love all of them just as much as my kids and more than my wife.

I own 2 Benellies. A m2 20ga and a sbe2. Triggers are good. Not like a rifle trigger , a little stiffer but you dont have to squeeze until your knuckle turns white.

I had a gunsmith work my trigger on my M1 12 and M2 20 and it made a noticeable difference. Is it necessary? Absolutely not, but I like the worked trigger much better.

I've had three M2s - a 12 and two 20s - and they all had decent shotgun triggers, by which I mean they're not gritty and break cleanly (even if the pull weight is a bit stouter than what you'd want on a target rifle.
I shot my first perfect round of skeet with the 12 and killed my first gobbler with it.
I killed my last two gobblers with the two 20s respectively. This year's was at 40 yards with only the bead and I never noticed the trigger at all.
