The factory full throws a really good pattern in most M2s. If I remember correctly my count was like 230-240 in the 10” and about the same in the 20”. My IC .555 will throw 300 in the 10”. All these numbers were at 40yds and shooting 2-3/4” shells with 1-5/8oz of 9s. I’ve got 2 buddy’s that shoot the same gun and all they shoot is the factory full. Hope this helps

I ordered the M2 Compact today at Simmons in Bessemer. Will drop it by Jays Hydrographics, then to someone to reverse the safety and drill and tap for red dot. Any suggestions for a choke for a good hunting pattern would be welcome. I will be shooting tss 9, 1 5/8 oz 2 3/4” loads. I would prefer an even 20” pattern at 40 yards. I don’t need a 60 yard gun where I usually hunt. Thanks again guys! GunDoc isn't far from you, he can get you squared away with drilling/tapping.

William at sumtoy can hook you up. I started with a I.C 555 and it looked awesome on paper but too tight for me to hunt with. I got a Sumtoy .562 , .570 and .575. I settled with the .570 and have been extremely pleased. Nice even pattern.

Thanks - I’m looking at a rib mount for the red dot instead of drilling the receiver. Any experience with them - pros / cons? I’m absolutely going to try the factory full before purchasing anything based on the responses. Thanks again!
