He’s enough of an athlete to have a Taysom Hill like role in Philly. That's if, and only if, he is willing to assume that role and run with it. Taysom lines up at QB, in the slot, backfield, on special teams and is liable to show up anywhere on the field at any time and is not too proud to get dirty. Jalen has publicly proclaimed himself to be a QB. If he is not willing to accept another role, his NFL stint will be brief, just like Tim Tebow's. Tebow could have easily transitioned to at TE or a specialty player like HIll, but he proclaimed himself to be a QB only and was not willing to do that. Whether or not Jalen is willing to do what it takes to stay in the NFL remains to be seen. He wasn't open to a position change or hybrid role in college and came out and said so publicly. As far as back-up QB, unless he learns to read and make solid decisions a whole lot quicker than he's shown thus far, he wont last as a back-up QB and he's not going to ever play ahead of Wentz. Remember, there are only 32 teams and every year there are 10-12 QBs drafted plus all the existing starters, and current back-ups 3 deep, so 5 years in, you're looking at a pool of roughly 155 qualified guys competing for those 32 available #2 roles and the pool just grows bigger every year. Jalen is most definitely athletic enough to be a situational weapon type player like Hill. Question is, will he swallow his pride and agree to do it long term.

I think he’ll surprise folks. He’s a winner.
Agree completely.

I think Jalen has a shot at staying around the league longer than Tua.
I would not bet against that either.

I would not bet against that either. But Tua will make a lot more money.

Tua Tagovailoa's dislocated hip didn't hurt his earning power right out of the gate in the NFL.
The Miami Dolphins selected the Alabama quarterback with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 draft.
Tagovailoa's representatives will need to hammer out some of the finer details in his rookie contract, but broad terms of his deal are largely locked in through the collective bargaining agreement.
He's set to receive a $19.6 million signing bonus and $30.3 million over four years, per Over the Cap. Here's a breakdown of his annual salary-cap hits:
2020: $5,504,625 2021: $6,880,781 2022: $8,256,937 2023: $9,633,093

Drafted ahead of Fromm and Eason. Bama backups still putting the wood to Georgia.

The critical thing about Tua’s contract is how much of it is GUARANTEED? It could be a $Billion, but he’ll only get the guaranteed portion, especially if he gets injured again.
