Congrats on the kill buckbrush. I'm gonna try my hand at the Uchee Creek special opportunity area this weekend to see if I can make something happen there.

I hunted the same units 3 and 4 the first year Uchee Creek opened for turkey hunting. The weather was terrible the weekend we hunted. Our business also helped post signs to mark the units so I've spent a lot of time down there but not recently. Send me your email, I may have some more current maps I could send that may be helpful. We saw birds strutting in Unit 8, which we couldn't hunt. It has a decent turkey population so hopefully with the good weather you may be able to get on some birds.

Got my fifth one yesterday morning. My first Alabama limit! What an awesome year it has been. Thank you Lord! Killed this one with a good friend in Tallapoosa County. Our first turkey hunt together. None of my birds this year will score high but who cares. it's been a season to remember.

I got it. Thanks, that was good info. We went and tried and ended up walking almost all the roads and never head a gobble or saw a track or anything. They might be aroumd there but we never saw any sign of them.

Hey, ya'll post all your kills in the contest entry post . We only have two birds entered and looks like we have killed way more than that.

Took some time off and spent 3 and 1/2 days on the lease near Coaling weekend before last....and heard one gobble. Yep, heard one freakin' bird gobble one time in 3 and 1/2 days! Called up numerous hens on many set ups, and did bump two gobs in a road at about 8:30 one morning. Were the only gobblers I saw. Last weekend went to the property near Billingsley, and heard absolutely nothing in the way of gobbles. Did call up one hen. That was it. Been a crappy season for me. Sorry I wasn't able to contribute to the team.

Birds posted will be 180 or so points added to our score. Season finally ended I had to cut my out of state trips short. My wife got a little under the weather and came back home to help her out with the little one. She's all good now. It's been a great season and enjoyed being on the team. Already wishing it was next year. smile
