That is not the lesson you want your kids to learn from this is it- that they are allowed to do what they want and not have to do what is necessary to help protect their fellow man in a serious situation? Set a good example and explain why it is important for a short period of time. That lesson will serve them better in their life than their batting average or fielding percentage. Help them make good choices.

That’s what happens when you live in a artsy fartsy city full of liberalasshole yankees. I bet the parks aren’t closed in Saraland or Satsuma. As someone who was born and raised in Saraland, I appreciate this comment. Do you still live in Saraland? Cause Saraland has grown tremendously and it dang sure ain't the same

Had gates closed to a park I’ve paid taxes on last weekend , I parked at gate and walked in with my wife and daughter to a picknik table and ate lunch. It’s bullchit, go for it.

Does paying taxes in the city get you a set of keys to city hall to let yourself in and out whenever you please?

There is a law/ordinance in Mobile that says you cant wear a mask in public. Do I have to follow that rule too? Just checking with aldeer, dont want to turn my kids into criminals. Same law in Selma and it obviously goes back to the days of the Klan, but is widely violated on Halloween and Corona outbreaks. Can't wear you mask in church either. No idea why that came about but if I wore a mask in church, even at 56 years of age I'd be more concerned about my momma whipping my ass than being arrested.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Guys. You can look at my post history and see I'm not trying to instigate things. I'm just dumbfounded by the fact I am no longer free to do what I want in a supposed free world. I'm not asking to run a practice of 10-15 kids. I just want to take my family to the park, something we used to do and want to continue to do.
Get arrested and see if the Federalists or the ACLU will take your case pro bono.

Load up and go to the park. You clearly want to do it and believe you have a right to do it despite the city's current closure. Let us know how it works out. Maybe nothing will happen.

It’s BS, that I agree with.
The proper thing to do is fight this with the city direct, involve the papers, follow the right process. That would be a GREAT teaching moment for your kids. Josh have already emailed the mayor. She gave a politically correct answer. Park director said he is good with families going out. What it for. Same thing from the Daphne parks.

Let me correct that. Park director said he would not kick anyone off the fields. Want to keep it correct Just because he won’t doesn’t mean someone else won’t.

So I live in Fairhope, my family of 4 used to go to the park at least 3-4 times a week. 9 year old son/14 year old daughter, both ball players. Would hit grounders/fly balls, work on specific skills, etc. Well they have the fields closed off(gates, police tape), what does the aldeer populous say to me cutting the tape and getting some work in. Will just be my fam.
Outback would say go for it. Then the faithful who are agin what you suggest, would be all for it. KHASB!!!
