Looks like my bees are enjoying the weather and yesterday I picked up a nice nuc with the queen being a saskatraz daughter. They are showing a lot of activity today. My bees are always a real comfort to me and keep me grounded.

Stay safe.

Need some more rain but flow here is early and strong. All my hives but 1 already have one super full, cured, and capped and 3 have 2nd super almost done. Best year we have ever had, so far. Now is we could just trade honey for toilet paper everything would be just fine. smile

How do you like the Saskatraz line? No one around here, S.E. Alabama, that I know has any. Of course most of our bees are just mutts.

This is my first go with Saskatraz. I’ll have to let you know. My friend that I got them from loves them. My other bees are just mutts with quality queens. I guess technically that’s what these are. The queen seems very calm, where all my other queens are very runny. I get my queens from John Horton and they are machines. But always seem really nervous. This Saskatraz daughter is very calm in comparison.

I guess we will see.

Thanks for the reply and information. Regarding your OP I also enjoy watching and learning from my bees. Several years ago when I got my first 3 hives I rolled a stump to the edge of the yard next to hives and would spend time sitting there just watching the girls "work". I still often stop and take time to just observe them and still enjoy that.

Good luck with the new nuc.
