Does anyone else think the birds are done already? They were burning it up the week before youth season.

Listened on the way to work. One gobbler on the middle ridge of our place hit it about ten times in five mins before I left.

On the board!! Good 3yr old. Shot him at 645. Thank u Lord!! Will try to post pics and story in a bit! I will give a teaser and say the calls I used were both over 35 years old. 🦃🦃🙏🙏

Yeah, I hunted the last 4 days in a row and it's been brutal

Dead at 630

Really strange at our place in Pickens co. All our hens seem to have vanished, Iv'e seen one and very few tracks. The gobbling has been almost non existent and the ones that do gobble don't respond very well. Can't decide if its over or not started yet.

I think it's fixing to explode in the nextt week or 2

They been roaring where I hunt. Got one Saturday AM. He gobbled over 50 times. Big 3 year old. only 7 inch beard but 1 inch spurs.

Yesterday I hot hen cackled and had one respond at 10 am...every time I called. Next thing, there were 2 birds responding..then 3, all together! They gobbled around 100 times in the 2 hours I worked them. I blew it on them however by :

1.) Moving Spots...there was a creek between me and them and they were hung up and not crossing. I peeled back, circled around..crossed it a couple hundred yards up and got on their side. I got close to where they had been hung up...called and yep..they gobbled from the spot I had left on the edge of a field. I looked and there they were...30 yards from where I had been! SOGs had flown across the creek!

2.) MISSING! ..I called to them again and here they came...right across the field to the other side of the creek over 200 yards quickly. I got down on the gun and heard a loud racket...first one flew across the creek. I was sighted in right down the side of the creek and sure enough he popped out right in front of my sights...and I clean missed him!

Still cant believe it. I cussed myself out all the rest of the day yesterday .
