I've got an approximately 2005 Alumacraft 12' jon that I bought from a gentlemen as a pond boat. Bought it from him around 2007, if there was a bill of sale it is long gone. The previous owner has also since passed. To my knowledge, it has never been registered with the state. I always used it in private ponds, so no need for me to register it. Now I have a small outboard, and wanted to use it on public waterways. Without a bill of sale, and having (likely) never been registered, do I need to just take to the hull ID number and information about it and apply for registration?

I thought that was the boat that you bought for your pond and never needed to register it till now.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Ha that’s my plan just I’m just not 100% sure it was never registered. Just seeing if anyone had been through it before. Don’t think it will be a big deal but with the DMV you never know. Got that little 6hp Yamaha tuned up and ready to go fishing.

I believe registration records are purged after a number of years due to inactivity. You've had the boat for about 13 years and I bet, if it was ever registered, it's no longer in the system. I'd call the courthouse and ask them about that and give them the hull# and have them look it up.
