I bought a couple the big bottles of Sawyers Permethrin the past couple years and decided it was too expensive. I picked up a big bottle of Permethrin from Tractor Supply and assumed I could dilute it for the size Sawyers bottle I have. Does anyone do this currently & share mix ratio to use?

I spray my peaches with a 30% permethrin spray. It calls for 4oz/100gal of water. You might could take that info and figure out what youre needing to know.

Have you ever tried the 5%(?) permethhin bug spray can? I would like to know how effective it might would be and cost comparison with what you have.

I did that exact thing yesterday. I filled the sawyers bottle (24 oz) with water and added one ounce of permethrin (I have martins brand, I am pretty sure it is 10% permethrin). That should equal .5%.
Of course, that would only be the correct ratio if my math was correct!

Yes, should be 0.5%, not 5%

I just did this other day. Going on guidance I found while googling I mixed martins 10% at a 1oz to 20oz water. Kept the ticks off completely the next time I used the clothes. I was finding 3 or 4 each trip even when using off deep woods, they weren't near this bad last year.

Same here. Really drench your clothes and boots and mask and gloves let dry. repeat 1/2 way through season.

if you have 10% permathrin you mix 19 parts water and 1 part permathrin
