I was wondering if anyone knew of any anvils for sale around the Walker County or surrounding area?

If you can call John Mott in Lowndesboro (sorry I don't have his number) he is a Blacksmith as a hobby and he could probably point you in the right direction.

Watch out for anvil shaped objects from places like harbor freight. But he’s right they are going for $4 to $6+ per lb. I see them beat to hell and back on Facebook often

I've been there before and expensive is the right word for that place.

I bid on 2 at an auction and both went over $600 each. They were big and in great condition though.

There's a feller has them at Collinsville trade day. He has all kinds of old tools and such, dinner bells , anvils, vices , etc.

Sheesh. I might need to go check my late uncle's barn. I know he had one, but if it had value I'm sure my cousins have done something with it.

If you are looking for one to use instead of "collecting" then Harbor Freight has them pretty cheap ($65- coupon). You just have to wipe the WuCooties off of it. (I see someone above indicated they aren't great but if it doesn't work out as an anvil sell it to a lib-tard as a flotation device).

Depending on size and condition it might be a great deal.

They generally don’t last very long.

Didn't know they bringing that kind of change. I've got one that I never remember not having. Suppose I could sell it cause I never use it. May keep it in case I ever decide to jump off a bridge.

I have a new JHM Journeyman 125# I would probably sell. It would take $600 to buy it. It’s never had a piece of steel on it. I shod horses for several years on a JHM Certifier 100#. I bought the Journeyman for a shop anvil but never used it.
