That goes for anyone, not just game wardens. It makes for a boring site. Anytime a guy posts something, the locals eat them up with their sly comments. So basically you end up with about 20 guys that talk on a regular basis and thats it. Its pretty funny though. All they do is complain or troll people.

Its sad but this is true., We had several biologists too, The know it alls ran them off too. Too many don't have respect for anyone. Take this virus as an example. There are too many experts here that have no doctors shingle hanging on their wall.

I hate to see a GW take a beating for what Chuckie and the admin do, because the GWs sure as hell have no say about anything coming out of Montgomery.

Totally agree with that. I know several current and former GWs. The vast majority of trying to do the job the very best they can.
There's a few (as with any profession) who are less than motivated. But in general the GWs are a great asset and most have a great relationship with hunters and landowners.

My only complaint about GWs is that there is not enough of them.
Been saying that for years.

Seen the 1st one in about 4 yrs yesterday at DG here in town....only time I've been checked was rabbit hunting about 17 yrs ago

But in his defense, I was technically breaking the rules.

Lotta folks stopped hunting when the rules got to the point of being so complicated that they cant figure out how to do it legally. So that turned into fewer license sales which means less money to hire game wardens. Less demand means less supply.

I agree but everyone always complains about paying for licenses and fees. They’re not going to work for free

We started seeing drastically reduced license sales in the mid 90s if not even earlier.
I think it's more about the low fines and the fact that people know there's little chances of getting caught.
They simply stopped buying a license. The number of people engaged in hunting certainly isn't down. There's scarcely an acre in Alabama that isn't hunted by somebody, legally or not.
