Just got a text message containing a document from the JeffCo Health Dept. It states that they are shutting down all "non-essential" businesses in the county for two weeks. Talking to lawyers. Planning on going to jail.
What the hell has happened to this country?

I don't think they taking non violent offenders in jail...but i did see fines for up to $500 per day for non compliance

So, the company I work for has been deemed “essential”. That said, we haven’t been given any type of pass or anything to show, if we are stopped, should it come to mandatory quarantine.

What kinda biz do u have? Small retail business. Here's what kills me: I get shut down. However, Walmart remains open. Sure they sell groceries, but they also sell a lot of the same things I do. Are they going to limit customers to essential items only? You know they aren't. Will I be compensated for my downtime? You know the answer to that one too..... We plan on paying the fine or going to jail. Looking at legal options.

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson just announced a two-week lockdown other than a few things including shopping for groceries, pharmacy, exercise, couple of others.
