As hot as it's been and as far along as trees are, I highly doubt we see another frost down in L.A. you hillbillies up north may be a different story

April 8, 1987 it was in the 20s, north wind about 20mph, sleeting and snowing.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

My best crop of silver queen was planted on april 11 a few years back. IIRC good friday was 4-9 that year. Had an absolute bumper crop that year.

I always get excited with the first warm snap and have been burned too many times. I'm letting the ground warm up till end of April.

I have been buying small tomato plants and such, but I have a greenhouse to warm em in. They won't go into the ground till mid April.

Can somebody go back a few years and check the actual data on this easter freeze, blackberry winter, dogwood winter. If yall havent noticed our weather comes in waves, colder then warmer, gradually getting warmer toward spring and gradually getting cooler toward fall. I dont remember having any blackberry winter when the blackberries were blooming, I know we didnt last year, I watched for it. The dogwoods have just started blooming and im sure itll get a little cooler after this front passes in a couple days. There will probably be another front pass about the time the blackberries bloom but I dont think the two are related.

Just search weather history for a specific city. Seems like the online almanacs have it.
