She makes straight A’s, does competitive gymnastics and dance and is the best big sister ever and now she’s a turkey killer! We heard 3 this morning and went towards the one gobbling the most but never could get to were I felt like we could kill him. The other 2 were gobbling every now and then so we moved a few times and ended up on a food plot with a ground blind which was really a blessing because I was afraid we would get seen because of her not realizing how good they can see. Once we got settled in I called and he answered but was a good ways from us, several minutes go by and she’s getting bored because we hadn’t heard him again but I told her to just be patient. He give us a courtesy gobble to let us know where he was and he was much closer, I stayed quiet and eventually saw him coming through the woods towards us, got her ready and he slowly made his way into the field looking for that hen! When he got to about 40 yards I told her I’d get him to stick his head up when she got ready and right before I was gonna call he stopped and stuck it up on his own and she made a perfect shot and the celebration began!! I’ve never been so excited!! That little 410 did a number on him! Even if I don’t kill a turkey this season it will go down as the best season ever!
