Anybody have a recommendation on a good taxidermist anywhere remotely close to Crenshaw county? I’ve got two birds I need to get to somebody. My guy is swamped and I’m not sure when he’ll be able to take them in. Looking for quality work. I may wind up having to drive a ways but I will if I have to.

I know it’s further than you’d like to drive, but I’d go with Stan Gross if it were me. He does my birds and does a great job. Look up stan gross taxidermy on the book of faces

There was a fellow in Dothan that did great work but I can't remember his name or which sporting goods store he worked out of.

I know one that does excellent “world class” work .... I won one in an Alducks benefit raffle one time for a guys who lost his house in a fire .. but he never made good on it ,so I won’t use nor recommend him .

I live in Troy but used Blake Wilson at Wings Over Water Studios up in union grove, al. Shipped him my bird via UPS. Takes him about a year to mount it due to backlog. Great guy to work with who does excellent work.

Russ Harris in Goshen does excellent deer mounts. Not sure if he mounts turkeys too. His # is 334-268-1485‬.
