Upgrade to a heat pump. Trailers come with an a/c unit and electric heating element heat. Power bill will be $300 in the winter. Mine has a propane furnace. No insulation to speak of either.

In 2010 I decided I needed an actual place to stay at farm but did not have money to build..Actually saw a thread on here about buying re-poed MH's. and after 6 months of looking found a beauty. Its about 1,800 SF , 3/2 with office, volume ceilings and real wallboard, huge kitchen and better floor plan than my home in Florida. In addition, although I did not know it at the time it was a very good manufactturer. The previous owners were pigs but otherwise in great shape and it actually had a working heat pump I just replaced.Paid a whopping $12,000 for it, but it cost about that to move because it came from Georgia.. Spent about a year renovating it and had plan to retire to it.We call it the "Mobile Mansion".It no longer looks much like a trailer, My wife and I built this from the floor up as part of the reno.

BradB that looks nice. They have come a long way in the past 30 years that's for sure.
Ethical behavior is doing the right thing when no one else is watching - even when doing the wrong thing is legal. Aldo Leopold .. (except when it comes to trailer tags)
