Mobile Al,
Any of you turkey hunting with an over under? I was looking for a red dot or someting similar that would mount onto my vented rib since obviously my gun hasn't been drilled but haven't had much luck. Anyone found anything that works well besides traditional front and rear beads?

Just had a venom put on my o/u. I haven’t shot it yet, but I’m sure I’ll like it. I’ll sure like not pulling my head and having to shoot twice to kill turkeys.

I’ve got a venom on mine. It has to be drilled and tapped for a base

Mobile Al,
I was trying to avoid that but I guess my only option is to have it drilled.

Meant to say I had mine drilled and tapped. There’s a company that makes a base that attaches to a vent rib, but I can’t remember what their name was. I think they only made one for an 870 and something else, but it might could be modified to fit yours if you want to go that route. I said heck with it and drilled and tapped my $1500 o/u. It’ll always be mine until it’s passed on, so I wasn’t worried about it.
FYI....I shot doves with my venom on my auto this year and shot really well (for me), so it’ll stay on from now on more than likely.

There’s a guy over here on 31 that just did my montefeltro. Did a good job.

There was a company at the nwtf convention that had a mount that clamped to the rib. I will try to find there website.

I have clamp on open sights on mine. It's a bastard set, TruGlo front and Williams rear.

I don't have a mount/tapped holes for a sight so I glued mine. Hadn't failed me yet...

Sorry, I just saw that you do have a vent rib. I would think you can clamp/screw an adapter to the rib to fit whatever sight you're wanting/
