I’ve never seen one until this year in Illinois.... had a wad of 25 hens/jake poults and 6 of the hens had long beards

The first turkey my boy killed was a bearded hen. Her beard and our ignorance got her killed. My first bird was a bearded hen as well because I was young, by myself and thought a beard meant gobbler. 9.5” beard
