I really don't consider 3 kills in 9 mornings to be good.
What?!? I know a bunch of really good turkey hunters who would love to be able to average a bird every three hunts. He's working that crank bait good. No one can actually think this.

Keep hunting and that kill ratio will even out 😀
For sure. I killed 3 in about a 10 day stretch last year and I was plum tickled. I’m trying to mentally prepare myself for a slow season this year. It ALWAYS evens out down the road.

What?!? I know a bunch of really good turkey hunters who would love to be able to average a bird every three hunts. I was listing my ratio only to say I'm 95% sure I could have killed 2 more birds and it's not like I had been 10 times and not got one and just wanted to fan some random birds. I can be pretty picky on the weather so I only had that excuse on 2 of my trips. So, IMO nice days and under 50% isn't great results. Point is if you hunted 9 days straight and there was bad weather some of those days 3/9 may be great. But when you can pick a day or 2 a week it doesn't seem as good. There are many hunters on here better than I am no doubt. But 5/9 is good and 3/9 might not be enough right now for me to drive (fuel) and pay the out of state license fees. I can hike it and listen to birds for free.

I may be an idiot, but that wasn't my intent. I seriously don't keep #s or mount birds. So I wasn't trying to brag about it. I just have been really blessed to have great places to turkey hunt. 50% or maybe just under seems a good number if weather is right. I have enjoyed my time on this forum, but may have really stuck my foot in it this time. If it matters, I have really struggled recently.on bow hunting deer. Can't seem to get a nice one to come within range and has me second guessing everything.

I know that’s right! I think last year I think I hunted 14 days before I killed a gobbler. I thought I was going to die 😂

It’s sounds like you just haven’t hunted much in AL. I don’t mean that disparagingly but I’m afraid your expectations re: days hunting/killing might cause you some disappointment. You may be right. One other issue I have is I never get to hunt past 11 am (12 eastern time). Stinks when you have to.leave birds behind or get too aggressive just because of the clock.

Then killed two more almost within a week of that. So I’m probably gonna have to pay my dues this year 👎🏻

6,400 acres is a right nice little home place. I have been blessed. But it takes a ton of work too. I don't own it but my family has always taken care of it like our own and the owners appreciate that and continue to let us "run" the place going on for about 80 years.

U got 6400 acres of private prime turkey land where u killed the crap out of em and u were asking about fanning on public ground ??? Why ? Something smells fishy
