Like someone is going to get on aldeer and say “yep! I support gay marriage!”  I personally don’t support it in the church, but I know a lot of people that do. As in dozens. You’d be very, very surprised how many people support it. Even in the rural south. I would absolutely not be suprised how many "christians" support and or regularly participate in what the bible clearly says over and over again, old testament and new, this is wrong, do not do this. There are a bunch of deer hunting, bible reading, church going Christians that support it. They’re reading this thread, but they’re not going to comment. I just thought it was funny to post up a question like this on a deer hunting website. Many people support it, but they’ll get flamed for it on here and they know it. I hate it’s made it into the church, and I can’t support a church that lets men marry a man, or women marry, but the church isn’t doing it because no one supports it, they’re doing it because a ton of people do. They won’t say it because they know it is wrong, and they can’t defend there position biblically.

I repent of my sin and feel convicted of it. As a Christian, it's important to feel convicted of sin and turn away from it, not to encourage it. There is a difference between a single act of sin and leading an unrepentant lifestyle of sin. Jesus would not attend a ceremony celebrating sin. And you didn't answer my question.

Both are sin but surely you can see the difference.

Matthew 7:21 addresses the difference between a (C)hristian and a (c)hristian.

My biggest problem with it is 1 I consider it to be living a life of sin and 2 the church has no business celebrating sin.

Yet you sin every day - perhaps the same sin you did yesterday and the day before. Please don't take it as an attack, we all fail and do exactly what I just described. I can't speak for whether Jesus would attend the ceremony, but Mark 3:17 indicates that he just might. So does Matthew 7:1-5. I am not saying that Jesus would give them a pass on the sin, certainly not - we have to look no further than the woman that was going to be stoned for an adulterous relationship, but he didn't turn his back on her. It is not my job to condemn people for their actions, it is my job to set an example - however poor of an example that might be.

That married gay couples? The Episcopal church here married two lesbians this weekend and it’s damn near torn the church apart. Episcopalians are pretty liberal but dayum this is still Alabama. Read the book of Leviticus if any on here want to know about Gods' opinion of homosexuality.

Folks we are living in the times of this ol world. Gradually getting worse . The devil smile is getting wider every day. Probably not in our lifetimes but its gonna get worse an worse with people turning backs on god s teaching even in church nowadays. Its just sickening to me.
